Holding Up The Universe by Jennifer Niven

I think Iike being 200 years late to read an awesome book so obviously, I’ve finally read this one now.

And oh my God, was it awesome. Let’s just say that I enjoyed the hell out of this book!

So this book follows two people, Jack and Libby.

Libby wants people to see beyond her weight. She wants to move on from being the fattest teen in America and just wants to fit in. What she doesn’t t know is that she’s born to stand out, not fit in.

Meanwhile, Jack has a neurological disorder because of which he cannot recognize faces. As in not at all. Not even his family’s. Which is just super sad.

And then some stuff happens which makes Jack’s and Libby’s paths cross, obviously. But let’s not go into details here.

This book actually taught me a lot.

YOU ARE WANTED. WHATEVER SIZE, COLOUR OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT YOU ARE.

NOBODY HAS THE RIGHT TO JUDGE YOU BECAUSE OF YOUR PAST.

Also, Libby has amazing friends and her dad is super cool too. Jack is still figuring his life out. But in the end, I think both of them help each other in figuring out as well as conquering the obstacles in their lives.

While reading, you actually relate to the characters a lot, which is awesome. But, the best part about this book was that there were so many fandom references! Especially at the beginning. There’s Supernatural, the Flash, To Kill A Mockingbird, Percy Jackson and even Harry Potter! SO AWESOME!

I am extremely grateful to Miss Niven for writing this book!

What were your thoughts while reading this book? I would love to know!

PS if you haven’t read this book, go read it now! What are you waiting for?! It’s amazing!
